Moving!
Some of you already know that this week I was told I get to move out of my parents home and back into my apartment (which was previously being rented). It’s been a little bit of work and we aren’t all moved in yet, but we are getting there. People… I now have calluses on my hands. That’s what painting for hours will do to you. You know what the sad part is? I only painted one room! but it took 3 coats of white and 2 of each of the colors. We also re-caulked all the base board and I patched 100+ holes in the walls. No I’m not exaggerating at all.
Okay so here are the promised photos:

Kid’s room before

The only room that had and color changes was the kid’s room:

I love it!
The room had been purple with Dora and Nemo everywhere… (Thanks Dad)
I may show some more when we are all situated… but don’t hold your breath…
Caiden spent 95% of his time the first day climbing the ladder.

In other news. My rough and tough little hunter is afraid of farm raised turkeys. How did we find this out? Well we went to the store to get some fried chicken for dinner and outside was a turkey. Yup a turkey. It was drinking water were the A/C unit drips… rather gross.
Anyway she was Terrified. I mean crazy scared. It was rather funny.
Meet the creepy turkey:

He followed us to the car and wouldn’t go away. She was crying and on top of her brother trying to stay away from the turkey. She was still scared after I shooed the thing away and shut my door. As you can see a closed door did not detour this rather persistent bird.
I asked her:
Me: How are you gonna hunt with Papa if you are afraid of that turkey? It’s just a pet.
Ari: They won’t be close and that one is weird looking.
I don’t know about you, but I think all turkeys are pretty weird/creepy looking. But I might just be that way from childhood trauma. We had a babysitter when I was a kid who had turkeys and when we went outback to swim the mail would chase me. It was not fun people I was terrified! The really weird thing about her having a turkey is that we lived in Boynton Beach Florida. Not really the kind of place you’d expect to come upon a turkey.
